• We are NOT repeat NOT a 'package tour' operator. That means NO hand holding and arranging your Indian breakfasts, organizing your sightseeing, herding you from one place to another. With us, YOU take charge. YOU plan your day, YOU decide what to see, YOU plan your itinerary…what we do is help you in all the above.

• We encourage you to see the LOCAL sights, taste the local cuisine, use the local transport, basically experience the place as the locals do.

• In all our trips, food and accommodation charges are PAY AS YOU GO, which means that you are NOT RESTRICTED to what we want you to eat or where we want you to stay. If you have a friend of a friend of a friend staying in Amsterdam and you want to stay with her, it will be our pleasure. Should you want to 'sample' the local brew more then the food, you are more than welcome to do so.

• All our trips are based on the GO GO model, where the bus networks that you travel on are HOP ON HOP OFF. You can get off anywhere on the drop off points and get on whenever you want to move on. Where does THE BACKPACKER CO come in? We help you plan your trip and make the most of your backpacking experience. Should you want to change the plan whilst on your trip, no problems and no extra cost.

• We have no issues with you using your local travel agent to do your air ticket bookings, visas, forex etc. wherever you are comfortable. Should you want the same to be arranged by us, we can help you out with the same.

• What to carry, where to buy your backpack, precautions, where to buy a good camera, how much to budget, which guide book to use, when is the best time to go, etc etc. If all these questions are stopping you from taking the trip of a lifetime, THE BACKPACKER CO will help sort them all out for you. We have a team of experienced backpackers who will guide you and try and answer all your queries and see to it that your first step in the world of BACKPACKING goes off without a hitch

• Traveling solo, have no one to join you on your backpacking trip…let this not stop you from experiencing what we would say is the trip that will open your mind to an entire new world. THE BACKPACKER CO puts together a bunch of like minded people who will help you take your first step in the world of BACKPACKING.

• None of our groups have more then 10 people as we want you to interact with the locals as well as people from different nationalities and come back with loads of new email ids of new friends from across the globe.

• Most of the trips that we do are safe and women friendly. In fact we have more women backpackers than men. Also the hostels, campsites and b & b's we stay at are neat, clean and have very clean loo's!!!
